My instructor was so impressed with my bass that he decided to let me see what I could do for his Telecaster. Here it is with a tortoise-shell pickguard. Fortunately, he had another pickguard for it - a plain black one - that he handed me to paint. The colors he chose for the pour were:
The result. With the way the paints were layered and flowed, the red wasn't visible following the pour. So I did what any inventive creative would do, and added "splashes" of red here and there on top of the poured paint. My instructor was tickled pink with the results! He even followed my lead and added some of the paint-skin to his headstock as decoration.
And, he liked the result so much that he soon gave me another pickguard to paint!
